Steve Goff is not only a one-of-a-kind butcher, but an all around wonderful chef. APATT had the pleasure of meeting Steve a few months ago and getting to know him. Only 30 minutes into our meeting, we knew we would be working with him in the future. Immediately, we asked him if he would be willing to come up with the menu and cook for our next pop-up at Oak City Outreach Center. He was pumped and agreed when he heard we would be serving this meal to over 200 of our friends who are experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty.
We are excited to have Steve, and his partner-in-crime Sam, on board with us that day, but we are even more thrilled to watch his new venture get started. Steve and Sam are launching Brine Haus food truck, which will have local meats, brined, and fermented foods. We were able to hear Steve’s passion for butchery and many of the sustainable practices he uses with whole animals. He is a major supporter of local communities and will bring Raleigh fresh meats, along with tasty, innovative recipes. Talk about an exciting adventure! Thanks Steve and Sam for partnering with us for our next pop-up, supporting APATT, and bringing Brine Haus to Raleigh!
