We are so happy to have a community that supports APATT’s fundraising efforts. On Thursday, June 23, from 6-9 pm, the b.Good located at 201 Park at North Hills St in Raleigh will donate 15% of their proceeds to A Place at the Table. The String Peddlers, a local band playing contemporary Americana (an eclectic mix of blues, reggae, rock, calypso, and folk) will donate their time and talents to entertain us as we enjoy great food.
The String Peddlers have been together for about 7 years since meeting at a coffee shop in North Raleigh. Sharing a love of music and a desire to have fun playing music in the community, the four band members are Frank Defilippi (percussion, vocals), Stuart Gordon (electric and acoustic guitars, vocals), Bill Olding (electric and acoustic bass guitars, vocals), and Bob Setzer (acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica, kalimba, strumstick, calves, guiro, vocals.) They are occasionally backed up the Spice Drops, Allison Connors and Penny Doane-Setzer.
Enjoying any place where they find a community that enjoys their music, the String Peddlers play all types of venues but have recurring performances at places, such as, Solas coffee house, Irregardless, and Sacred Grounds in Durham.
In June 2016, the officially released their first CD, The Old New.
