A few weeks ago, we were able to attend a fabulous event with many choices of pickled veggies, bread, and spreads by Brine Haus, hundreds of cookies and cupcakes, and 300 people in attendance. Many people were waiting in anticipation at HQ Raleigh on April 27 as Executive Director of Carroll’s Kitchen (CK), Jim Freeze, shared CK’s dream, mission, and future location in downtown Raleigh.
Carroll’s Kitchen is a 501c(3) restaurant with a vision to end homelessness for women in Raleigh and to inspire everyone in the city to make a real and positive change. They are providing an opportunity for single women experiencing homelessness in job training, life skills, and housing. Taking over the former Square Rabbit in downtown Raleigh, we all will have an opportunity to enjoy sandwiches and salads while supporting this crucial mission. We cannot wait to partner with CK as they open up this summer, and see the incredible things they do both for women experiencing homelessness, as well as the community of Raleigh.
Check out their website here and watch our friend and CK’s Executive Director Jim Freeze on ABC11 here. We are so proud to know you and be partners with you!
