Chicken and Collards Make a Great OCOC Pop-Up

Hundreds of pieces of chicken smothered in gravy, collards out of this world tasty, a delicious combo of pinto beans and rice, and a healthy green salad made for an excellent June pop-up at Oak City Outreach Center (OCOC) this weekend. With the help of our friends (Brined and Cured), we were fortunate enough to introduce A Place at the Table to 100 new friends. We had such a blast serving the meal, chatting with people, and sharing our mission.
We could not have done it without our incredible volunteers, Steve and Sam Goff, and the new community we have at Oak City Outreach Center. Thanks for letting us be a part of your Saturday! Check out our pictures below to see more!
